Estimates from your device location. Distance can miss movement during signal gaps. Set up before moving and let a passenger handle the screen.

Walking speed and pace
Press Start outdoors or where your device can provide a usable location. Pace converts your measured speed to time per kilometer or mile. Near a standstill, pace is unavailable rather than an extremely large number.
Position noise matters more when you move slowly. A changing number while standing still does not establish that you walked that distance.
Keep your walk private
History is off by default and route recording has its own switch. A saved summary does not include coordinates. Recording a route for GPX export requires a separate choice.
Xpeed does not estimate steps, calories or health outcomes. It is a speed reference, not fitness or medical advice.
Questions and answers
When does the browser ask for location?
Press Start to request location. If you have already allowed this site, measurement can begin without another prompt. A blocked permission must be changed in your browser or device settings.
What does a dash mean?
A dash means Xpeed has no usable recent reading. A measured zero is a valid speed. Returning to the page or moving to a place with better reception may help the device provide a new reading.
